about
I started this project many years ago, tracking myself on a Rhodes with drummer Adam Topal (Jack Johnson) at Rusty's studio down in LA. The idea was to create some musical passages for beginning and ending television segments, a "bumper" in the parlance. I worked on it intermittently while on the road, adding various layers, including percussion by the incomparable David Geller. When it sort-of expanded into more exploratory regions, I put it aside until I was looking for some transition music for my short film Van Gogh Vangone (www.vimeo.com/4869693.) Two songs ended up being crucial to the soundtrack, and I began to review the rest of the material and decided these four songs and one bonus track could make a nice EP length collection.
